Dances with Bears Cabin in Ruidoso, New Mexico, is a privately-owned, 3-bedroom, 2-bath luxury log cabin, which easily accommodates 6-8 guests. The downstairs master bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed, large color television with built-in VCR, and a cozy sitting area complete with chair and ottoman. The master bathroom, which features a walk-in shower and a separate over-sized bathtub, can be accessed from either the living room hallway or the bedroom itself.
A floor-to-ceiling rock fireplace warms the exposed-log living room. The kitchen is equipped with top of the line appliances, and enough utensils and supplies for even the most elaborate meal. French doors lead out from the dining room/breakfast bar to the tastefully furnished deck.
Two nicely decorated bedrooms adjoin a loft on the second level. One bedroom has a queen-sized bed and the other two twin beds. The upstairs bathroom opens to the loft and is equally accessible from either bedroom. A comfortable futon can easily accommodate one adult or two small children.
While lounging in the inviting six-person hot tub, enjoy the scents and scenery of the Lincoln National Forest. Deer and Elk, and even an occasional black bear, commonly forage the forest below the deck. After dinner on the deck, keep an eye on the sky as nightfall unveils an astonishing universe of stars seldom seen by city-dwellers.
